Interests

InterestsI love to travel when I can find the time. Key West is my favorite destination. It's a gay man's paradise. I also enjoy some of the following things: going to amusement parks, bungee jumping, shooting pool, swimming, landscaping, dancing, watching and playing most sports (I was a two way starter on my high school football team.), and anything that seems like fun.
MusicMy musical interests are a hodgepodge of many different genres. Shane Mack has recently become my favorite singer/songwriter. "Same Love" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart are my two favorite songs. I like Swedish House Mafia, Kazaky, Cazwell, and lots of techno/dance music.
MoviesMy #1 favorite of all time is "Shelter". There's not a close second. Not only is it a great movie with a gay theme, I connect with the character Zach so much. His relationship with Shaun happened very similarly to my first long term relationship. It's a love story with a realistic plot and written the way all gay movies should be written, not with doom, gloom, self-torture, or glitter, sparkles, unicorns, and one campy song after another. My other favorites are "Latter Days", "Frier Fall", "Sordid Lives" if you want a good laugh, "Beautiful Thing", "Get Real", "Defying Gravity", "The Mulligans", "Ciao", "Prince of Tides", and "Bridges of Madison County" just to name a few. I just watched "Bridegrooms". It is based on a true story and will rip your heart to pieces. I want to give Shane a huge hug and a shoulder to cry on after seeing it.
TelevisionMy new favorite show is "Looking" on HBO. I like "True Blood" on HBO and "Shameless" on Showtime. I love a German soap opera called Verbotene Liebe or Forbidden Love in English. If you have not seen or aren't familiar with the love story of Christian and Ollie, better known as Chrolli by their fans, you have to go to YouTube and type in Chrolli. Their story has been uploaded by some of their fans. It took me an entire summer of watching to try to get myself caught up from beginning to current, but it was worth it. Aaron's storyline on "Emmerdale" is also very good. I also like a gay-themed Finnish soap opera called "Elias' Story". You can also watch it on YouTube.
BooksI love to read news articles, but I don't have the free time available to read books.
