Interests

InterestsWriting poetry, essays, short stories, music, and plays. Lots of reading, since I'm an English major. I enjoy the gym (wish I would have enjoyed it more years ago, but at least I like it now), hiking, golf, tennis, shopping, comedy, simply making people laugh. Oh yeah, deep, engaging conversation is a big interest of mine, cos man can not live by fluff alone. Being a longtime inhabitant of DC, I also enjoy political discussions and wargaming. I play video games cos it's been a part of my life for so long (WoW represent--I know, total geek volcano). Good cooking, good discussion, good laughter--what more do you need?
MusicAmbient, Techno, Electro, 80s Dance pop, Trip-Hop, Downtempo, Classic rock, Alternative rock, R&B. As for artists: Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Cher, Donna Summer, George Michael, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Brian Eno, Enigma, ABBA, Darren Hayes, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Billy Joel, Duran Duran, Everything but the Girl, Annie Lennox, CSNY, and a lot of DJs and programmers I hear on the satellite radio dance stations whose names escape me.
Movies2001: A Space Odyssey, Network, All the President's Men, Syriana, Good Night and Good Luck, Angels in America, Milk, The Godfather, Citizen Kane, Rear Window, Vertigo, Star Wars (episodes IV-VI), An Inconvenient Truth, It Couldn't Happen Here (MAJOR extra points with me if you know which one I'm talking about), Tom and Viv, One Missed Call (Asian version), the LOTR trilogy, Wilde, And the Band Played On, The Lion in Winter...and too many others to mention. If it's on the AFI 100 list, it's also probably one of my faves.
