This is the season for giving and I’m so glad to be able to give this lap rug I made to my friend in Jersey City. She always opens her house to me - she even kept me from being homeless in 1999 - and I can’t love her enough!

That's beautiful, and the picture to the far right shows the plushness well.

There is nothing like a homemade lap rug. I know she will cherish this.

That looks great. My mother used to knit and crochet all the time in the 1970s and 1980s. She would make all our winter outerwear, afghans, slippers, doll clothes. She would do the same for anyone who asked, they just had to give her a pattern and buy the yarn. She had bags and boxes of yarn that she would get from anyone in town. I have the last pair of gloves she made me back in the 1990s.
