Why is everyone getting their underwear on a bunch of this solar eclipse coming up ? Businesses are closing ,Ohio National guard is on standby in case they get called out !????

Beats da shit outta me. Ohio seems to be one of the major "hot spots" for viewing this eclipse. Now you watch.... It gonna be cloudy...LOL

Most of the reason for all of the hype is because after this one, there won't be another solar eclipse to cross the continental US (coast-to-coast) until 2045.

Unfortunately, it's going to be overcast and even stormy in most of Texas the day of the eclipse. Most Texans, even those in the path of 100% totality, won't see anything other than the momentary darkening around them.

A lot of people are really bummed out about the weather ruining the opportunity to actually view it. I'm disappointed too, See more

I hope they have a clear sky to view it! It's not looking good for most locations except maybe up North.

Not looking too favorable here in central Ohio, either. I guess the best and safest view will be NASA or the Weather Channel.

It's going to be a washout (literally) for most of us down here. Even in Mexico the conditions aren't favorable.

Erie is on the path of 100% totality, and it's not mentioned in the media. Going back two months, hotel room costs shot up from $199 to $1,012 per night.

I guess my area is on 80% - I don't know but I will be with my Endocrinologist on that day - I don't plan on buying glasses and looking at it anyway.

Don't know why business are closing. National Guard for the influx of tourists. They might get all horny with it being dark in the middle of the day...............Just what you need on the farm, a bunch of horny LO men on your farm...............:-).

Traffic after the eclipse ends will be much heavier than normal, so maybe they will be directing traffic or helping out in case there are a whole bunch of wrecks on the highways. At the last total eclipse here in TN, the electronic signs over the interstate warned people not to stop on the highway to watch it. My roommate and I drove about 120 miles to be in the path of totality. We took some back roads and made a few retail stops to avoid the heaviest traffic.

Strawberries were on sale ,1.00 quart !!!

Had to make a strawberry pie ,a layer of cream cheese , ricotta and little sugar mixed up on the bottom for added flavor 😉

Mediterranean pizza before and after baked ,smothered in mozzarella cheese. Also pepperoni/pizza rolls . Made my dough in morning , and let it rise slowly in cold garage all day .
